Joana was born in Madeira Island, in 1996, where she lived her first 18 years of her life, years that proved to be decisive for her artistic practice. In 2018, he completed the degree in Fine Arts, in sculpture, from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.
Her work wanders between sculpture, video, writting and analog photography, as well as, through research, exploration and decontextualization of the most varied materials. The idea of collecting and analyzing the simplest objects or materials is also part of her work process.
Currently lives and works in Porto.
